Lock 50 and Russo Italian Restaurant present our Sassicaia Wine Dinner to be held January 19th, 2023. This 7-course Chef’s Tasting menu, will be paired expertly to selections from legendary Italian wine producer Tenuta San Guido’s exceptional portfolio. The evening will culminate with an authentic Bistecca Alla Fiorentina served with Tenuta San Guido’s crown jewel, Sassicaia.
In the pantheon of the world’s greatest wines, the delegation from Tuscany is certain to include Sassicaia. This wine – widely recognized as the pioneer of the Super Tuscan phenomenon is a world-renowned Cabernet Sauvignon. WineExpress says “this wine has spurred many followers but few rivals…”. Wine Enthusiast Magazine awarded this a Cellar Selection and scored it 99 points. Wine Spectator scored this 98 points and called it “…supple and beautifully defined”. Decanter scored it 100 points and Robert Parker scored it 98 points.
The dinner will feature a 7-course menu developed under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Tim Russo and our Sommelier Patrick Suleski. The menu, a collaboration between our two sister restaurants – will include:
