Wine and Cocktails
A big part of the experience at Lock 50 are wine and cocktails. For every drink, salute and celebration there is always a story, a history, behind it. At Lock 50 it’s about sharing the history of New England, the Blackstone Canal, and Worcester by way of cocktail.
Alcohol has a rich history in New England, from the Founding Fathers throwing them back, to the trade triangle and the rise of rum, to modern day revolutions in cocktails and creativity. We have come a long way since the first Rattle-skull was made, but we use modern techniques and interesting variations to follow the lines back to the colonial era and introduce some unique cocktails to Worcester.
In addition to great cocktails, you will find a creative and interesting wine list, featuring wines from various parts of the world both common and uncommon. Food-friendly wines are chosen to be paired perfectly with Chef Tim Russo’s seasonally-changing menu. Because of our reputation for wine, we also receive exclusive allocations of hard to find wines so ask your server for new additions to our wine list when you are choosing a wine for your meal.
Similar to the wine list, we will also be presenting an array of craft beer using a strong local influence on our selections of beer, cider and mead.
The last touch will be a proud partnership with Worcester’s own Polar Beverages, sure to add the finishing touches to an already unique experience.
